Hi Jackie,

Thanks for the message but unfortunately I can't help you out. I'm not related to R.C. Hewitt. I'm originally from Indiana.

Good Luck,

Aaron

Hello Aaron,
I am doing some research on an old picture I found in a thrift shop. It still has the framer's information on the back which reads R.C. Hewitt, 418 Second St. Phone 68, The Dalles, Oregon. The customer name is Eva Hammer.

The picture is actually a framed fabric embroidered picture of the Navy Ship USS Goldstar and in the upper right corner is an actual photograph of a young Navy sailor. I have found considerable info on the ship itself and now I am trying to track down info on the customer. I am assuming that Eva Hammer was mother to the young sailor, embroidered this picture and had it framed by R.C.Hewitt.
I came across your name, and being a photographer, I thought maybe there was some history in your family of a framing and photography shop in The Dalles, Oregon. If so, I would really appreciate any info you could provide.

By the way, your photographs are splendid!

Thank you for your time. I hope to hear from you.

Thanks Eric!! I thought I heard your name dropped as the one that supplied the shoot with the apparel. It was a concept shoot so I'm not sure what they'll do with it.
